OUR STORY

About Us

Early in the 1990s a co-operative group of keen antique collectors was formed to organise the running of a quality Antiques & Collectors fair in Cartmel Village Hall.

Over the years the individual members have changed but the high standard of items on offer has remained the same.

We are a non-profit organisation and at the end of each season any surplus funds are donated to local charities and good causes. In previous years this has included the purchase of Cartmel Village Hall very own Defibrillator Unit and also donations to ‘Cartmel in Bloom’.

At the end of the 2019 season, we were able to make two donations of £250 to worthy causes.  The chosen recipients were:
North West Blood Bikes (NWBB) – Lancashire & Lakes
University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust – Special Care Baby Units  (SCBU) at Furness General Hospital (FGH), and Royal Lancaster Infirmary.

The images below show our Chairman, Mr Derek Muckle, presenting cheques to the SCBU staff at FGH, and to Mr John Walker, North Area Manager of NWBB.
